He is very wrong about the Jewish people. He says that Jewish people don't need Jesus, to get into heaven. Yet that is so wrong. The Bible says that the Jewish people also need to believe in Jesus, to get into heaven. So while it is good that he is supportive of Israel, yet the biggest need of the Jewish people is salvation, and he denies that. So I avoid him for that reason. If someone is wrong about the Gospel, then I don't want to listen to them.

How do you treat confidential information innocently passed on by a child that could be damaging to the parent?

You have to deal with it on a case by case basis. If the kid tells you that his dad likes to walk around in ladies underwear then you probably are not going to go anywhere with that info. But if he tells you that dad is burning mom with cigarettes that is a cause for worry and a reason to call and share this information with Division of Family Services. They will handle it in a confidential manner. And yes, these are cases that I have dealt with.

I think I've made a really big mistake and I don't know what to do?

My daughter (who's 7) was going to a state school. Her father and I agreed that we thought the state school system was a bit harsh on children ie: the long hours, the uniform, the lack of physical education, the homework etc. She had also had problems with her circle of friend's and had been kind of excluded. So, we looked for alternative route and found a Steiner school, which we placed her into. A few weeks into it, and I'm really disliking it. They told me it wasn't religious, and yet they thank God in prayers. The children in her class are a bunch of middle class anal twats who have no discipline because according to this school "the way you are is great, and you don't need o be changed". And, well, I could go on, but the long and short of it, I'm not happy. There are up sides like, more art, dance, physical education, craft, shorter days and smaller class sizes. But I just have a bad feeling. Is it ok to go on something like "gut instinct' on this one? Or should I stick it out? I feel bad chopping and changing. This new school is very different, so I don't know if I just need to get my head around it. I'm really confused and very unhappy about it. What would you do?

There's this guy who I've known since I was about 18 (I'm 24 now). Last year, he would text me here and there and I would just gently reject him. I had an infatuation with a celebrity (Selena Gomez) and it got really deep. It lasted for a half of a year and it got really bad where I would cry sometimes. Jeremy slipped through the opened door as silently as possible, hoping not to alert any nearby art teachers to his presence. The cellphone sat innocently on a nearby stool. Scanning the room for any obstacle, whether alive and walking or an inanimate object, he notices a girl that was vaguely familiar sitting at an easel, her tall, thin body blocking his view of the easel. She was the type who was quiet and tends to spend more time to herself, although there were a few people who were close friends with her. Walking quietly, not to disturb her, he walked to the stool and snatched up his phone. Looking back over his shoulder he noticed for the first time what she was painting. I found a paper nest hanging from my gutter, but the bugs definitely weren't wasps or bees. I couldn't get close enough to tell what they were because, well, bugs are gross and I didn't want anything flying at me. They were an oblong shape and brown. American moving to London?

I'm currently engaged to a London-er. He lives in West London now, but his parents own a place in Southall. I'm a white American, born and bred in Baltimore. He's an Indian, born in London. When we got together, we decided he'd be the one to move to the US. Lately, I've been really concerned with death and it all started when this stupid end of the world **** started. I've been on an airplane about 6 times and I'm flying from Fort Myers to Baltimore tomorrow. I always fly alone, because I'm going to visit my friends and stuff. I'm 14 years old. Im super scared this time, and part of it is because the plane im taking, flight # 605 flies only from ft myers to baltimore. Anyways, previously, in about April, flight #605 from fort myers to baltimore was taking off and the engine blew. They repaired it i guess, well of course, but damn im so scared! For the past month ive had major anxiety over this. I get sick and shake from just thinking about taking off on a plane. Im pretty bad on planes, if they so much as tilt a little during take off my whole flight is ruined and im freaking out for the whole thing. I have no clue how to relax. Try listening on the Internet, like to San Francisco's KFOG, or if you want something unusual sometimes, KPIG out of Freedom, California, or try College radio stations in your area maybe, or switch around to see what else is out there. Some stations try repeating programs, like literally just playing recordings of shows hours long...boring...but some still have real live people picking the music and responding to requests. And call in to say what you think if you don't like what a station is doing...they just might listen to you.

First off I'm not an Admission's officer at all, so I wont sit here and pretend I am, I think that by taking All Honors and AP courses that you're showing you enjoy challenging work and that you can handle college work which of course colleges and universities love, also the fact that you're active in your community is a good thing. When you think in terms of applying to college don't think too much about how m any things you're doing but think about which of the things are you most dedicated and interested in. I once knew of a girl who was valedictorian of her class, had all these E.C.'s but wasn't truly invested in them and her college admissions essay reflected that, she didn't get in to many of the schools she wanted to because of that. Your SAT score is a tad weak for some of these schools except for Rutgers NB and Monmouth(( believe Penn State also) that I know of, but being an Honors and AP student you should do tons better your second time around with some hard work. Regardless of these schools SAT and GPA ranges you want to have the best possible GPA and SAT score especially if you want to be Pre-Med because it's very competitive. I think that overall you seem to be a well-rounded hard working student and it is important that you demonstrate this when applying to colleges. I apologize if this isn't helpful but the truth is no one can(or SHOULD--people will sit here and try anyways) to tell you that you can get into this school but not the other and definitely this one and not definitely not that one. All colleges look for different things in their students regardless of a few blunders they will admit a student that they find fits into the profile they are trying to build.

There seems to be a lot of people coming into this country unwilling to learn the English language, I am upset by this because I am now forced to learn a different language to keep my job. When my father migrated here decades ago he learned the English language fast he had to. Can you edit my KITE RUNNER paragraph? 10 points!!?

My first impressions of the novel the"The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini was that is was going to be a very tragic story. Before the audience even knows the protaginist name, we find out that a winder day in 1975 changed his. Right away, I predicted that Amir did something that he still regrets to this day. We find out that he has been trying to forget some secret for 26 years. After Baba's statement, "God help us all if Afghanistan ever falls into hands," I got the feeling that someone of great power was going to take over and control Afghanistan. I got the impression that Amir was jelous of Hassan. I got this impression because of when hassan points out the probelm of the plot of his story. I also got the feeling that Amir picked on Hassan because that was how he could let his anger out. Up to chapter 5 of the novel, Amir doesnt show anger to anyone else, I feel that he only feels comfortable critizing hassan because they are such good frieds. The only part I felt challenging about the novel was all of the characters names. The names sound the same in a way, that part I found a little confusing. I cannot specificall relatate any of my personal experiences to the novel, but however I can relate this novel to the novel NIGHT by Elie Wiesel. So far what I have read about the kite runner is that Amir is struggling with his past. While in the novel the night, Elie is struggling to survive the horrors of the Concentration camps. Both the novels are dealing with someone taking over their country. In the country it seems to me like the Taliban are going to takeover, and in the night it was the Germans who were in control of the Jewish. A question that I was wondering about the novel is why can Baba just accept that his son is not athletic and will not be a spectator? If I was Baba I would feel proud of my son that he was a talented reader and writer, and that sometime he might be a famous author. I also wondered why Amir is afraid to be Hassans true friend, i got the impression it was because he was a servent and didnt want people to think less of him. But i wonder is there more to that? From what I have read so far, i beleive that one of the themes of the novel will be friendship .The characters were well drawn and my heart went out to the trotting-old servant and Hassan. No one is sure of anything, certainly not their safety!

Tips on being more feminine?

I want to be more feminine but not completely go out of my way. I'm strangely obsessed with baseball and I don't do much with my hair besides the occasionally straightening it or a braid. Why do people hate on Arabians!:(?

It depends on the horse and the training. Typically Arabians are high strung and can be hard to handle but that doesn't mean they are bad horses. They are beautiful horses. I would like to point out they do not have the body types of a QH or TB so they cannot do those jobs better just like those horses cannot do endurance like arabians can. Different breeds have different perks and I wouldn't be angry toward all breeds or make assumptions one breed is better then another when many factors come into play. I don't dislike arabians, I don't dislike any breed as a whole.

I have to decide within the next few days whether to go to University of North Carolina Chapel Hill or University or Maryland Baltimore County. How can I get my pell grant back after being denied?!?

I just got my fin aid letter from my school (I am a senior), and it shows that I am not getting a pell grant, which means I will also not get my smart grant! I also lost the Rober Byrd Scholarship as the funding was cut. My brother graduated college, and it looks like my parents earned a little more money last year, and I'm guessing that's the reason, but I haven't been notified why by the fed govt. Both of my parents work (my mom's is stable, my dad's is on and off), and both work at second part time jobs. I work during the school year, and am having a hard time finding any kind of job this summer. I live in a distressed area in Ohio, and go to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. The only reason I was able to attend there is because I got scholarships, grants, and loans which barely cover my costs. I have been so grateful for that! This year my dad took on a part time job delivering court summons to help pay his debts, and the expenses from this job (especially gasoline) made the job not worth it, as he found out at the end of the year. My parents are paying their way out of a bankruptcy, and will be done with that in January. They have no equity at all in our home, and are underwater on the mortgage. They do not want to default on the mortgage (it is a small very modest house), and are really really struggling to meet expenses. They have student loans for their three children, and are not in default on those. Is there anything I can do to talk to someone in the federal government about this? I don't know how to contact anyone about this. I am terrified that I won't be able to complete my senior year. My parents are beside themselves as well. We know none of us can get a loan for $19,000. If you know what I should do, please help!

Terrified of flying, feel like im going to die, please help me?

Lately, I've been really concerned with death and it all started when this stupid end of the world **** started. I've been on an airplane about 6 times and I'm flying from Fort Myers to Baltimore tomorrow. I always fly alone, because I'm going to visit my friends and stuff. I'm 14 years old. Im super scared this time, and part of it is because the plane im taking, flight # 605 flies only from ft myers to baltimore. Like, I had no other choice but that plane unless i got one with stops which my parents wouldn'tt allow since im alone. Anyways, previously, in about April, flight #605 from fort myers to baltimore was taking off and the engine blew. They repaired it i guess, well of course, but damn im so scared! For the past month ive had major anxiety over this. I get sick and shake from just thinking about taking off on a plane. Im pretty bad on planes, if they so much as tilt a little during take off my whole flight is ruined and im freaking out for the whole thing. I have no clue how to relax. Is this illegal in any way?

I'm not going to put all of what happened on here for safety reasons, but I live with my step parents in a very isolated small town and I previously lived in a more developed place. I'm very different from the people here and my step parents have started using their newly gained moral to use as an excuse to abuse me, but also they told many people around the area that I'm somehow mentally handicapped when I'm not. I have fallen in love with him and thought he felt the same way. I told him I love him. and he said I care so so so so much about you...He has always been very paranoid about his wife finding out. Me and my boyfriend were like middle school sweethearts. We went out in the seventh and eighth grade and he had been my best friend since I was 2 (I'm 25 now). After 8th grade, his family moved to Korea (job related purposes) and we lost touch after a few months. I missed him so much, I mean he meant so much to me. He was my first everything and it killed me when he went away. When I was a junior he moved back into town. I was happy to hang out with him again. He wanted to get back together, but I had been in a one and a half year relationship at the time. I kind of avoided him at first, but my feelings for him were too strong so I broke up with my boyfriend for him, but we went our separate ways after graduation (the colleges we went to were literally on the opposite sides of the country and we didn't think the long distance thing would work) and we kept in contact for a while. I ran into him when I was 22 and that point I was in another serious relationship. We innocently hung out as friends for a couple months, but once again he pursued me, but this time I told him I was not going to break another guy's heart for him. We had a huge fight and after that we stopped talking. My boyfriend at that time proposed to me after that, but I said no because I knew I still loved my ex and it would have been unfair to marry him knowing I was in love with someone else, so that relationship ended. I recently moved to another city and a met up with him again on Facebook. Its like no matter who I'm with, I'm always secretly thinking about him, so I thought why not? (At least this time I was single). Now we've been together 2 and half months and he proposed to me a few hours ago. Don't get me wrong, I love him with all my heart, but I feel as though maybe things are happening too fast. I mean, I know I want to marry him, have his babies, grow old with him, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to do that now. I don't want to say no, because I don't want to lose him, but I don't want to say yes without being 100% sure either. Does what everything that's happened between us in the past mean that we're meant to be? You know, like fate or something?

Would you show up for the job or just leave for vacation?

Well, this weekend I had planned to go to Baltimore to visit my family. I put my two weeks in at work (I set the date as Friday and expected it to be until Friday) and was planning on leaving. Well here I am, yes, I've known for a week that I was working this shift, but I thought I'd be able to call around and find someone. Well... BIG MISTAKE. I've called almost 10 stores to try to find a replacement for me, but they've either completely said "NO" or no one's gotten back to me or they said they'd "try". Now I'm sitting here wondering what the hell I'm supposed to do. I'm leaving the job anyways, but at the same time, if I ever need a recommendation, I can't go to them if I decide not to show up... not only that, but I promised my manager that I would show up for my shifts. And now I'm stuck. I really want to go out and have fun with my family and see them and go to Washington DC, but at the same time, I want to keep up a good relationship with my boss. She also signed me up as a student, so if I ever was in a pinch for money and needed to come back, I can always go back to them. It's just really frustrating when I've called over 10 stores, 20 employees and not a single one is willing to work. So what would you do, call off or suck it up and work the shift and find something else fun to do?

My baby will be 6 months old on the 11th. He currently is on Enfamil Infant and has started to spit up a lot and has bellyaches pretty frequently. Sometimes his breathe will smell like soiled milk. When he was born he was breastfeed until I couldn't any longer (about 6 weeks.) And he was on Gerber Good Start but he just quit drinking it. I don't know if he just didn't like the taste or what. I put him on Enfamil Newborn and he did great but I switched him over to the Infant formula when he was 3 months. I've called my Dr's office and a nurse suggested alimentum formula but I really dislike Similac formula. I was wondering if I should try Gerber Good Starts again. Of course I'll do what's right for my baby...any suggestions? Anybody else out there with the same issue?

Okay so I have this babysitting activity tonight. I didn't know anything about it until my mom told me about 2 maybe 3 hours ago. I have no problem with babysitting. But the girl I'm paired up with is a total Snob and stuck up little brat. She gives these little looks to people that makes me want to slap her. I'm normally a really laid back person. I hardly have problems with people and if I do, then I keep it to myself. I've never disliked anybody as much as her. My mom won't let me back out and i can't switch partners. And its not like I can just ignore her for 3 hours! I mean, If she says anything rude to me, or gives me one of those looks i'm scared i'm going to snap and tell her off. My Best Friend is in a relationship and has been for the past year and a half (on/off, because he's cheated on her more than twice). I know he's no good for her but she can't seem to see it, or can she? Recently, she's been having some "revealing" webcam sessions and heated chats with various other guys, not that she told me. After I heard rumours, I then confronted her where she furiously denied it any involvement with the guys other than innocently chatting, so I resorted to checking up on her through her fbook inboxes. So, here's what I see and it's just an opinion from what I've read and nothing else that I know or don't know about you and your family history. Kids don't know "sexual". To them, their butts are the yuckiest, funniest things ever (My 3 year old runs around screaming "PooButt" and laughing hysterically!) Kids laugh. Kids love it when grown folks can let go and laugh about things that they find funny too. It's not a question of your son turning gay, or your father getting his rocks off while spanking your son. There doesn't seem to be any ill intent. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, EXCEPT that it does worry you. For 1 reason or another, you don't like it. You're his mom and you have a right to rear your child as you see fit, so long as it's healthy. But here's one of those universal truths that you're coming into seeing right now: Grandparents ALWAYS THINK THEY KNOW BEST. Wither it's the truth or not doesn't matter. As they see it, they have more experience than you and they've done it all before so that entitles them to be the know-all go-to guide concerning all things parental. I promise this won't be the last thing that they do that really gets under your skin. But, you CAN let them know that it offends you and that you don't think it's healthy and that if they can't abide by the way you want your child raised, they don't have to participate quite as much with their new and ONLY grandchild. I mean, not that I think you should deprive your son, but it will let your parents know that the offense is serious and that you wish to be taken seriously. See if that helps, but don't just let it go if it gets to you that strongly. I DO think that you should take a step back and ask if it's ACTUALLY hurting anything before you go to war, though. Cause it may not be worth the pain that the outcome would cost everyone involved.

I think my twin brother's having a mental breakdown, what can I do?

I understand that you dont want to tell your parents, because some of my family is very prejudice of homosexuals. What you need to do is find a rehabilitaion center, tell your parents what your brother has been doing and how hes been acting (just leave out the fact that a boy caused it, say it was a girl) and get him help. I dont think he'd go so far as to kill himself, but he sounds like hes hurting and he dosnt know how to get rid of the pain. Please let me know if he ever gets better

I dread the thought of getting a haircut. Whenever my parents even mention the word hair cut I imediatley start to freak out and my heart starts pounding. Just thinking about gets me worried. I live in New Mexico and I judge them and I don't want to! I bet a lot of them have good souls, just they've messed up a few times. Sexy guy at work does he like me?

I'm bi and there is this cute slim guy that I work with and I was wondering if he likes me as well. When he first started he was quiet around me, but after working with him for almost six months I realized that he might be into me. Now when we talk he initiates the conversation, and his body language is that of an interested person. When we are talking his feet and his whole body are pointing in me direction, except for when he has to ring up a customer, but when they're gone he is right back to the same position. How do i convince my parents to let me go to a different school?

I just spent freshman year at a new school. I just left my old school which was a private school planning on going to this normal highschool. but then i got accepted into this special art school which i had tried getting into 7th and 8th grade. I know it is a great opportunity for artists.. my parents think im super passionate about art and am good at it (im okay) but im not passionate at all.. in 7th grade art was all i did. draw draw draw draw. but now my goal has been for 2 years to become a marine bioligist.. and going to an art school wouldnt necissarily look good on a science colledge application. Also the people there well... they have made this the 2nd worst year of my life first of all, most of the people there are either super wierd or druggies. or they are depressing "struggling artists" since the school used random kind of pick a name out of a hat way to let kids into school we are getting untalented kids who just want the easy fun school and arent there for the art. I want to leave because there are people out there, kids, who are amazing, passionate, talented artists who would LOVE the school and i am taking there place! i feel horrible. The people there will judge you for being normal. they will judge you for not being different or wierd and all that. And yes i know i will be judged at a regular highschool but at least for the right reasons! i would understand people saying oh she didnt do her makeup today or oh her hair looks a mess i dont care. At this school people say oh..SHES wearing makeup. she must be a whore then. or OH she isnt dressing artsy or shes wearing high heels what a slut. seriously? do you want me to come with dirt in my hair paint smears on my face and talk about the mystical powers of spiritual art?? you are CRAZY. I met one normal person there and find out they are talking bad about me behind my back because i forgot to wash off my makeup one night at her house?! I FORGOT. also its a small school with 89.9 percent bad influences, so news travels fast, theres always someone talking about you, everyone knows everything about everyone, and if there isnt anything to talk about they will make something up. If you do meet a normal person there they turn out to be either mean or a really bad influence, and since it is a small school theres little chance of meeting a good influence. EVERYONE IS ON DRUGS! im not exaggerating. at all.. and i have nothing against people on drugs they can be some of the nicest people you meet but they are considered "bad influences" i know there will be lots more bad influences in a normal highschool but there will also be way more good influences! the only reason my parents are keeping me in this school is because of the overall high test scores, which have gone waaaaaaaaaaaay down this year because no one is trying anymore. they think since its an art school its all fun and free and easy. I STRONGLY DISLIKE MY SCHOOL! it has made me despise life and myself... you'd think that at a school where their motto is acceptance there would be a LOT more acceptance...
