Is it pointless to be a Baltimore Orioles fan?

I cant imagine its fun knowing that every season you are going to finish last in your division. Obviously there are fans out there, but how can you watch when you know that there is no hope of making the post season? And If there is never even reason to hope, why bother being a fan?
